Understanding the different categories of cleaning agents -
Detergents - They are used to clean utensils in both houses and commercial kitchens. Detergents are available in the form of powder, liquid, crystals, and gels.
Degreasers - As the name suggests, they are used to clean grease off of ovens and other surfaces. Always choose non-toxic and non-fuming degreasers for health reasons.
Acids - Acids are the most powerful mineral and scaling cleaning chemicals. Acids should be handled with extreme caution. Always dilute acids before use.
Abrasives - They are used for scrubbing pots, pans, and even floors. They work perfectly on hard surfaces, that is why we should avoid using them on stainless steel and plastic tools.
